You may encounter many different job titles used for similar jobs depending
on the type and size of company.   What’s important is the definition of the job
and its duties and responsibilities, not necessarily its title.

     The diagram below shows some typical titles you’ll find in the Logistics
industry.  Remember: to move up to a better job, you’ll need additional skills
and knowledge of the Logistics industry.

Logistics Distribution training
The Logistics industry is about more than moving boxes.  Opportunities exist for people with backgrounds in Information Technology; Management; Engineering; Quality Control and in many other fields.  It’s the place to be in the 21st century.
Mid-Level Positions include: Team Leader  • Customer Service Representative (CSR) • Shift Lead • Clerk  Auditor Checker • Quality Control • Maintenance Floorperson • Maintenance Mechanic • Export Documentation • Dock Supervisor • Inventory • Traffic Manager • Receiving Inspector
Entry Level Positions include: Dock Worker • Material Handler • Fork Lift Operator • Inventory Clerk • Order Picker • Distribution Associate • Bobtail Driver (Pre-Semi Trucks)
